PICTURE 8 (LEFT): The body and neck are joined using the traditional Spanish heel construction. The top and the neck are temporarily held together by a couple of nails. The sides and the top are held together with simple wooden clamps, which Salvador made specifically for this guitar's depth. Small wooden triangles serve as kerfling and make the connectio nbetween the top and the sides.

PICTURE 9 (ABOVE): After the glue dries and the clamps are taken off, the body is prepared for receiving its back. Four transverse braces which will provide additional gluing surface for the back are put in place. Once again, there are also several temporary braces which will be removed later.

PICTURE 10: This is the same step as in picture no. 9, but also in the picture is the finished back. PICTURE 11: The back being glued on. It is tightly secured and pressed onto the body by string and wedges.
