PICTURE 6: After being planed for proper thickness, the sides are now bend into shape using a hot metal pipe (heated electrically).

PICTURE 7: Here we have the major parts of the guitar. The top has been braced, the sides bend, the back halves glued together, and the neck is carved into rough shape. Note that the large brace under the bridge is only for temporary reinforcement while the guitar is being assembled. It will later be removed through the soundhole. |
